I make functional ceramics using the pottery wheel, and I’m always exploring different techniques to decorate them. I enjoy slowing down and observing the world around me to gain inspiration for my work.

I began my obsession with clay while in high school where I had amazing instruction. After that I studied Illustration at the University of Kansas where I perfected my work ethic, learned visual design principles, and got to experience teaching while TA’ing for various design classes.

Today I am able to combine both my passion for clay and my skills as an illustrator to create pieces that are uniquely me. I am also an instructor and manager at EPIC Clay Studio in Kansas City, Kansas where I get to share my love of clay with people of all ages. I believe everyone can learn how to create with clay and make something they love.
